Make Your Own Oil Pump Hose

For 91-03 Sportsters

  • For roughly around $20, you can make (or have made) the hose from the oil pump to the filter housing. You'll have to find a shop that has the proper equipment to make the crimp.
  • Parts include:
(1) - Parker 43 Series
(10143-2-4)
1/8“x27 male NPTF rigid crimp fitting for 1/4” hose (Overall length - 1.80“ / 46mm) 1)
(1) - Parker 43 Series
(10643-5-4)
5/16” (1/2“x20 threads) female JIC 37° (straight) swivel crimp fitting for 1/4” hose (Overall length - 2.03“ \ 52mm) 2)
(App. 6”) length - Parker
(471TC-4-RL)
1/4“ / 6.4mm hydraulic hose 3) 2-wire braided synthetic rubber hydraulic hose.
Approved for 43 Series fittings, Min bend radius (2” \ 50 mm), ID (1/4“ / 6.3mm), OD (0.51” / 13mm)
Rated pressure (5800 psi \ 40.0 MPa), ratings (USCG HF / DNV / ABS / MSHA Accepted)

  • Notes:
    • Stainless steel fittings must be assembled with Karrykrimp 2, PHastkrimp, Superkrimp or Parkrimp 2 per the manufacturer. These are very expensive tools thus finding a shop that is properly equipped is essential. 7)
