1983-1993 Battery Tray / Parts
Battery tray part# (66191-83).
This style battery tray looks identical to the 82 tray. However, the MoCo added a flange on the front side extending below the bottom and welded a 1/2“ steel nipple to it as an oil tank drain plug.
The 82 and prior oil tanks have a removeable threaded drain plug to drain the tank.
83-up oil tanks have an extra (1/2”) hose nipple on them to drain the tank instead that gets plugged off by the nipple under the battery tray.
The hose runs across the bike from the tank, under the battery tray and terminates on the welded plug.
1994-1996 Battery Tray / Parts
Battery tray part# (66194-94).
The pad (66103-74A) that sits under the battery is available as James Gasket# (JGI-66103-74-A).
1997 Battery Tray / Parts
Battery tray part# (66194-94A).
In 97, the MoCo added 2 rubber bumpers (60429) to the back of the tray along with a beefier rubber pad (66214-97) for the battery to sit on.
The pad slips into the corner holes to protect the battery wires from getting cut by the tray.

Battery tray part# (66194-98).
The bank angle sensor (32495-98) attaches to the right side of the tray with one #10-24 x 3/4“ flange hex head self tapping screw.
