Seals - Intake to Heads
Intake to Head - Hardware History. 1) |

57-78 had the exact same port sealing machining, heads and manifolds - They use O-rings. |
1979 is confusing because it had the o-ring machining but it used rubber bands. |
80-later had the “o-ring delete” machining. These use the rubber bands. |
(If you had a 79 you could retro fit 78-earlier interface mechanisms as a bolt on.) |
80-later needed the heads to be machined if you wanted to go back to the straight up o-ring seals. |

Keihin Butterfly
These V-twin clamps (35-0419) work well for stopping intake leaks. The tool to install them is the same as any oiteker clamp pliers. 6)
